The Branson Scenic Railway celebrates 20 years in Branson in 2013! (1993-2013)

One of Branson's most popular attractions, the Branson Scenic Railway provides an old-fashioned train trip through the legendary Ozarks wilderness.

Visitors board the Ozark Zephyr Railway at the century-old depot in downtown Branson and take a 40-mile, 1-3/4-hour journey north to the James River Valley or south into the Boston Mountains of Arkansas.

Passengers who board early can ride in one of the train's 1952 Budd Dome Observation cars with panoramic views.

On Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. visitors by reservation can experience the Railway's 48-seat dining car and a candlelight dinner featuring a chicken, beef, or fish entree and trimmings.

It's a colorful trip into the past in the style of the age, and fun for the whole family. Click here to visit the Branson Scenic Rail Website "Slide Show" for some nice pictures of the train, inside and out.

The Polar Express Train departs during the holiday season in November and December. Meet Santa and enjoy caroling, hot cocoa, a treat, and a special gift for each child. Kids are encouraged to wear pajamas! First-class dining car seating is available. It includes hot cocoa served in a souvenir Polar Express mug and cookies!

The Branson Scenic Rail train departs March through December. Departure times are 9:00 am, 11:30 am, 2:00 pm, 4:30 pm; and the 5:00 pm Dinner Train on Saturdays. In November and December, the Polar Express departs at 4:45 pm, 6:30 pm or 8:15 pm.
