Discovered by newspaper publisher and writer Truman Powell in 1896, Talking Rocks Cavern has been open to the public since 1912. The Powell family originally named it Fairy Cave. The main chamber is over 98-feet-high and 590-feet-long! Bring your camera for pictures of the many amazing cave formations (speleothems), including the famed Powells Column which is a pillar nearly 100-feet-tall. It's free to crawl through the SpeleoBox Maze or to climb to the top of the new 40-foot Tree Top Tower. Pack a lunch and make it a fun afternoon adventure.
