Veterans Memorial Museum Open 8am-9pm, January through December Its location is unmistakable. Pull in when you see the full-size World War II P-51 Mustang Fighter Plane by the side of the road right on highway 76. This museum is over 18,000-square-feet of art & exhibits honoring those who served the wars of the 20th century, including WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam & the Persian Gulf. The museum's hallmark is the world's largest war memorial bronze sculpture: 50 soldiers storming the beach, each one modeled after a combat soldier from each state. It's over 70-feet long and weighs 15-tons. The Veterans Memorial Museum is composed of 10 halls of memorabilia covering the wars and conflicts of the 20th century.
