Kathy and Janet Lennon (two of the legendary Lennon Sisters) will perform a special concert with their granddaughters on Silver Dollar City's Gazebo Stage at 2 pm and 3:30 pm on Friday, July 31, 2009. You can meet them in-person and even get an autograph at Cowboy Jepp's (one of the park's indoor specialty shops).
At this event, Kathy and Janet are also bringing along Best Pals, their very own line of original rag dolls. They've recreated the dolls of their childhood made for them by their mother and grandmother. These dolls have traditional embroidered faces, yarn hair, vintage fabric dresses, pantaloons, Mary Jane shoes and long knit stockings. Click here to see the Best Pals website (there are pictures, too. Very cute dolls! There are also paper dolls, cd's and books in the Best Pals line.)

You read that right - 56 years of fireworks in Hollister! This is Taney County's oldest, longest-running fireworks spectacular.
This is a hand-lit fireworks show by Pyrotechnic Don Klein, the Hollister Parks Department and Western Taney County Fire Protection District personnel. They have completed training in safety and show technique to allow them to put on this annual show.
Special displays will be set off this year to pay tribute to Pyrotechnic Chad A. Fuqua who was killed in August 2008. Enhance your "bright sky" experience with a nominal contribution to the Fireworks Fund which will get you a pair of 3-D glasses. Purchase at the Town Hall or from a boot passer the night of the 4th.
Radio station KRZK 106.3 FM will be playing patriotic music during the Fireworks Show, so bring a portable radio, lawn chairs, blankets and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks...AND your family and friends and enjoy the show!

When you visit The Titanic Museum in July, you're in for a surprise. There is a "Jack Dawson," in costume, making appearances on the Grand Staircase and in the James Cameron Titanic Movie Gallery (that's where the Titanic Museum pays tribute to the Oscar-winning movie, Titanic). When you see him, you'll be asking yourself "Is it or isn’t it Jack Dawson of Titanic fame?" (this "guest" is actually 19-year-old Frank Roberts, from Missouri, who looks amazingly like Leonardo DiCaprio's character from the movie. Frank was also a contestant on the celebrity look-alike contest on Live With Regis and Kelly.)
