Entry fee: $25 - to benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. There is a discounted rate for team registrations at the Branson event only. Registration closes: Thursday, September 23, 2010.
Location: Table Rock Lake Dam State Park, 5272 State Highway 165
Be ready to run or walk at 8 am on Saturday, September 25, 2010 for a great cause. Bring your friends and neighbors and get moving!
Everyone finishing the race receives a race medal. The first 350 people to finish receive a race pack which includes a souvenir t-shirt and other items.

Ironman 70.3 Branson is one of 34 worldwide qualifying events for the 2010 Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater, Florida. Professional athletes will be competing for a $25,000 prize purse. If you're interested in entering the race, click here.
The course:
- a 1.2-mile swim in Table Rock Lake beginning at 7 am (near the Chateau on the Lake, the host hotel)
- 56-mile bike race through the rolling hills of the Ozark Mountains (Moonshine Beach is the transition area & the race ends at the Branson Landing)
- 13.1-mile run (this part is spectator-friendly, it's three laps at the Branson Landing); race ends at 3:30 pm
Click here for the exact course details. Bring a lawn chair to the Landing for your chance to view the athletes & cheer them on during the last part of the course.

The New Branson Airport and AirTran Airways add a third arrival and departure for nonstop flights between Branson and Atlanta, Georgia. AirTran adds a third Atlanta arrival on Thursday, Friday & Saturday; and a third departure on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
New connections are available: Tunica, MS; Gulfport-Biloxi, MS; Cancun, Mexico; Montego Bay, Jamaica; Nassau, Bahamas; Sarasota-Bradenton, FL; Pensacola, FL and Miami, FL.

National Harvest Festival, September 11 - October 30, 2010:
September and October are the months for Silver Dollar City's colorful National Harvest Festival. Over 100 craftsmen throughout the park demonstrate heritage crafts; also a corral full of cowboy entertainers and musicians play country, gospel and bluegrass. Bring your appetite for the fall harvest foods, featuring real chuck wagon foods, you can grab for a meal or a snack. Open Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 am - 6 pm, and on Saturdays, 9:30 am - 6 pm. Festival highlights include:
- New: Craft In America Exhibit, from the creators of the highly-awarded PBS documentary series and created exclusively for SDC, an exhibit featuring unique American artists, including 50 who will choose their finest works for this showcase in the Frisco Barn.
- New: Craftsmen's Reunion Showcase, featuring renowned artisans previously featured at SDC returning in a special exhibition, from glassblowers to coppersmiths, including Peter Engler, Ted Blaylock, Peter Kramer, Lee Robertson, Tom Crain, Gary Dierking and Jesse Barnes.
- New: Demonstrating craftsmen from the Ozark Folk Center
- The biggest ever Best of Missouri Hands juried artists
- New: Caricature Carvers of America Showcase with some of the nation's top carvers
- New: Learn-How-To-Do-It-Yourself Craft Workshops presenting tips and techniques on making items for home decor
- Missouri's Largest Barn Dance with live bands, daily in the park's largest presentation hall, Red Gold Heritage Hall. Music groups include The Horsecreek Band, Jody Nix & the Texas Cowboys, Texas In The Swing, Missouri Travelers and Les Gilliam & his Silver Lake Band.
- The 45-minute original musical production Headin' West returns, presenting the adventure of Western expansion with scenes from white water river travel to a buffalo stampede. It tells the story of the American pioneer spirit in the 1870s west. The production comes to life with elaborate sets, surround-sound, and special effects from deep cave prospecting to white water rafting. A talented cast of 14 actors performs, with live music enhanced with an original orchestra score. Headin’ West runs September 11 - October 24, 2010.
- Come hungry because the tastes of the fall harvest are served up throughout the park. Search out smoked turkey legs, roasted corn on the cob and hearty skillet meals cooked on open grills, barbecued ribs, roasted prairie chicken, southwestern tacos or buffalo chili, and desserts from blackberry cobbler and peach pie to hot apple dumplings. Dogs ARE allowed in the pool at the Branson Aquaplex on Labor Day!
Even the diving board will be open for the bravest pups; or the shallow end will be perfect for running, fetching and splashing.
No need to register for the event – just bring a scoop & baggie to clean up after your dog.
Each dog has to have at least one human...and they must be on a leash (the dog, that is).

- $3 per dog (with one human)
- $1 (each additional human)

- Dog food

- Dog leashes
- Dog collars
