Moonlight Madness 2015 at Silver Dollar City

July 18, 2015 thru August 2, 2015

New! Expanded Moonlight Madness dates for 2015 – July 18 through August 2, 2015.

Silver Dollar City stayed open late in 2008 for its first Moonlight Madness. It went so well that Moonlight Madness is now in its 8th season in 2015!

Great stuff:

  • Rides will be running in the DARK – try out the roller coasters, the Giant Swing, the rides in the Grand Exposition, and the water rides like Tom & Huck's RiverBlast and the American Plunge, and Outlaw Run!
  • The park's country music show, GAC Nights in Echo Hollow is FREE to Silver Dollar City guests, the show begins at 7:00 p.m. Wednesdays through Mondays
  • There will be special deals on meals and shopping. Bring your friends!

Moonlight Madness happens during Silver Dollar City's National KidsFest. There will be nightly street dances at 9:30 pm (Macarena, Electric Slide, The Chicken Dance, Cotton-Eyed Joe) at the Town Square and lots of fun!

Rides will be running until 10:00 pm!

The park will be open during Moonlight Madness from 9:30 am to 10:00 pm. If you arrive after 5 pm, admission is only $25!

1st Annual International Adopted Child Reunion

July 18, 2015

The Incredible! Acrobats of China featuring the New Shanghai Circus has been hosting an Adopted Chinese Child Reunion for more than 10 years in both Branson, Missouri and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This year, in recognition of the loving generosity of American families who have opened their home, arms, and hearts to children from all over the world, the reunion is expanded to include all families with internationally adopted children.

The International Adopted Child Reunion activities will be held at the Yakov Smirnoff Theatre in Branson, Missouri on July 18, 2015, beginning with activities for the whole family including international games, crafts, and demonstrations. Lunch will be provided at the theatre and there will be more activities after lunch, culminating with the Acrobats of China featuring the New Shanghai Circus Show at 3:00 pm.

There is a block of rooms reserved at the Branson Towers Hotel. The rate of $65 per night plus tax, for 2 adults and up to 3 children per room will be available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 17 -19, 2015. Another FREE Swim Day at the Branson AquaPlex 2015

Time: Noon to 7:00 pm

The Branson Parks & Rec Department is offering a day at the pool – FREE for everyone! Keep in mind that it's first-come, first-serve and the Branson AquaPlex does have a maximum person occupancy.

Hot tip: this FREE event happens on a Wednesday and the pool opens at noon...so arrive early!

Bring money if you want to purchase snacks or drinks; otherwise all you need is your swimsuit and a towel.

One more thing, admission is FREE – but you must also bring 1 non-perishable food item per person to donate.

28th Annual Fireburst 2015 on Table Rock Lake

July 4, 2015

A fabulously FREE 4th of July Event!

The 28th annual FIREBURST event takes place on beautiful Table Rock Lake!

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2015 (rain date TBA)

Time: 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Location: Near the Kimberling City Bridge on Hwy 13

The 30-minute Fireworks Show on Table Rock Lake begins promptly at 9:00 pm. You can watch the show from a boat anywhere near the Kimberling City Bridge or from a car by parking at the Kimberling City Shopping Center, Harter House Supermarket or in the field just north of Harter House. Tune in to Hometown Radio KRZK KOMC to listen to the music that goes with the fireworks show.

What to bring: blanket, lawn chair, suncreen (alcohol not permitted)

Sunset Fireworks Cocktail Cruise on the Lady Liberty Relax on this one-of-kind boat as it takes you on a cruise of Table Rock Lake and then back into Cedar Hollow cove to watch the Independence Day Fireworks show. $99.95/all ages 4+). 62nd Annual 4th of July Fireworks Show in Hollister, Missouri

July 4, 2015

A FREE event!

You read that right – 62 years of fireworks in Hollister! This is Taney County's oldest, longest-running fireworks spectacular.

This is a hand-lit fireworks show by Pyrotechnic Don Klein, the Hollister Parks Department and Western Taney County Fire Protection District personnel. They have completed training in safety and show technique to allow them to put on this annual show. {verifying this info for 2015}

Fireworks begin at dusk.

Extra cool: Enhance your "bright sky" experience with a pair of 3-D glasses (get yours by making a nominal contribution to the Fireworks Fund). Purchase at the Town Hall or from a boot passer the night of the 4th.

Radio station KRZK 106.3 FM will be playing patriotic music during the Fireworks Show, so bring a portable radio, lawn chairs, blankets and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks...AND your family and friends. Enjoy the show!

Food and drinks available for purchase from Hook & Ladder Pizza; also kids jump in the YMCA Bounce House!

Direction tips: Hollister is located 35 miles south of Springfield on Highway 65 & it's only 11 miles North of the Arkansas State Line on Highway 65 in the Southwest corner of Missouri. To get to Hollister from Branson, just drive across the Taneycomo Bridge near The Branson Landing and you're in Hollister. Turn right and continue down the highway to go to downtown Hollister (the Train Depot is there).

8th Annual Liberty Light Up Fireworks Show at the Branson Landing

July 3, 2015

Notice the date – Friday, July 3rd, 2015 – the celebration begins at The Branson Landing! This is a fun event for the whole family. Enjoy shopping, great restaurants, an evening concert and a choreographed fireworks show.

The concert begins at 6:00 pm in front of the Branson Landing Fountains featuring Sandi Patty, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Dino and Cheryl Kartsonakis, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, Cor Captis, and Cadence – LIVE IN CONCERT!

After the concert, the choreographed Liberty Light Up Fireworks Display Show takes place (produced and provided by Gateway Fireworks Displays out of St. Louis). Watch for Gateway's Signature Grand Finale. Awesome!

A spectacular fireworks display with Lake Taneycomo as the background for breathtaking reflections. Don't miss it!

Former Professional Bull Riders, Luke Snyder and Dusty LaBeth, have handpicked local talent to compete to be crowned champion of the event.
