Additional practice to learn the dance:  at 1:00 PM at the Hughes Brothers Theatre on Tuesdays and Thursdays prior to May 30 as well as a special 6:00 PM lesson on Friday, May 29.

Location: Line up on the sidewalks along Hwy 76 from Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theatre to the corner of Hwy 76 & Shepherd of the Hills Expressway

How to hear the music: Turn your car radio and outside speakers to radio station My 100.1 Radio and the song will first play at 10:30 PM, and play again at 10:35 PM and at 10:40 PM

14th Annual KSMU Youth In Bluegrass Contest

14th Annual KSMU Youth in Bluegrass Contest

Held at Silver Dollar City's 1000-seat Opera House Theater during the Bluegrass & BBQ Festival 2015

This contest features amateur entertainers 21 years-old or younger competing for top honors. Cash prizes will be awarded to the bands finishing in the top 5. First place wins $1200!

No fee to enter, but this is an invitational event, and pre-registration is required by March 15, 2015. As many as 20 groups will be accepted for the May 23 contest.

SDC Music Summit Choir Festival!

Music Festival For High School, Junior High, Middle School and Elementary Choirs

Choose from two dates:

  • April 24, 2015
  • May 1, 2015

The festival is open to elementary, middle school, junior and senior high school men's, mixed, treble and women's choirs. (no show choirs)

Festival performances will take place at The Riverfront Playhouse

Each school will receive a participation award. The award will be given to each group immediately after their performance. Adjudicator Comments and Scores will be posted on the website at the end of the performance day.

The Silver Dollar City Music Summit also includes:

  • Choir Directors Luncheon in the Park
  • Silver Dollar City will choose one choir for an encore performance and tickets to the park
  • Special performance by the Drury Chorale from Drury University

World-Fest marks the official opening of Silver Dollar City's regular season on April 9, 2015. It's America's largest international festival, presenting incredible entertainment from around the globe. Performers from six continents present new and unique shows and productions – never before presented in the United States. Open Wednesdays through Sundays.

  • NEW! Ansambel Navihanke at the Dockside Theater. A group of five award-winning musicians from the European nation of Slovenia present a lively, genre-crossing performance that includes traditional Slovene folk music and polka as well as contemporary pop melodies.
  • NEW! Duo del Sol at the Gazebo Stage creates a rich musical landscape featuring a fusion of styles including Latin, jazz, classical and traditional folk.
  • Returning favorites! Stix on Steel at the Boatworks Theater presents talented musicians from Trinidad & Tobago demonstrating the versatility of the steel drum as they perform traditional calypso and reggae tunes blended with 20th century pop classics and more.
  • Returning favorites! Island Fire at the Riverfront Playhouse presents World Fire Knife Champion Anelu Iakopo in a breathtaking display of dancing flames! Plus, the traditional songs and dances of South Pacific Islands including Tahiti, Samoa and Hawaii are performed by talented entertainers in this interactive and educational show complete with elaborate costumes and set design that will transport you to a Polynesian paradise!

Sound the Alarm! In celebration of the NEW Fireman's Landing, Silver Dollar City and Showboat Branson Belle are offering FREE admission to Firefighters, plus discounted admission for their family, March 14 - May 3, 2015.


  • Free admission to Silver Dollar City and Showboat is available to any firefighter or fire department employee
  • Must show a valid department photo ID
  • Eligible firefighters and department employees are also able to purchase up to (4) four admissions for dependents at the discounted rate of $30 + tax at Silver Dollar City and $25 + tax at Showboat Branson Belle
  • To obtain the offers you must have an ID or letter from a Fire Department stating that you are an active or volunteer member serving that department OR retired from that department

How to get tickets:

  • Silver Dollar City:  Present your valid department photo ID at any Silver Dollar City front gate ticket booth March 14 - May 3 to receive a one-day admission and to purchase up to (4) dependent admissions for $30 + tax each. Please visit the SDC operating calendar for a complete list of operating dates.
  • Showboat Branson Belle:  Starting March 1, reserve your free admission ticket and purchase up to up to (4) dependent admissions for $25 + tax each in advance by calling (800) 775-2628. Upon arriving at the Showboat on the date of cruise, a valid department photo ID is required to pick up tickets. Showboat Branson Belle March schedule. Showboat April schedule. At Showboat, ticket includes show, cruise and meal in general seating.
