The 8th Annual Roark Creek Clean-Up is on Saturday, March 31, 2012. This is a joint effort between the College of the Ozarks Biology Club and Ozarks Fisheries and Wildlife Association (OFWA).
The College of the Ozarks Biology Club, which primarily focuses on volunteer activities to benefit the campus and community, is helping with the trash collection at Roark Creek near Highway 65.
Amazing fact: There are 3,672 active Missouri Stream Teams. They collected 1,155 tons of trash from Missouri streams in 2010.
The Ozarks Fisheries and Wildlife Association's mission is to provide students involved in the field of conservation and wildlife management an opportunity to gain professional experience through activities emphasized in these areas.
