Bobby Vinton with the Glenn Miller Orchestra
At the Mansion Entertainment and Media Center, 189 Expressway Lane (highway 248 & Gretna).
Bobby is back in Branson! Bobby Vinton, the man Billboard Magazine calls "the most successful love singer of the Rock Era," is performing with the Glenn Miller Orchestra in November and December 2008. Come and see two shows in one - Bobby delivering timeless love songs...and the Glenn Miller Orchestra for that wonderful big band sound.
Bobby headlined at his own Branson theater (the Bobby Vinton Blue Velvet Theatre) for 9 1/2 successful years before selling it to the Spirit of the Dance show. The theater is now called the Branson Variety Theatre, housing the Spirit of the Dance Show and Broadway, The Star Spangled Celebration. After the sale, Bobby still performed for audiences in cities from Las Vegas to Atlantic City. He was also back in Branson from time to time for limited engagements.
From 1962 to 1972, Bobby had more Billboard #1 hits than any other male singer, including Elvis and Frank Sinatra. His biggest hits include "Blue Velvet," "Roses are Red (My Love)," "Mr. Lonely," "Take Good Care of My Baby," "To Know You Is To Love You," "Sealed With A Kiss," "Beer Barrel Polka," "Save Your Kisses For Me," and "Moonlight Serenade." These favorites and many more will be featured in his full-stage concert event in Branson this season.
Shows are at 7:30 pm from November 2 through December 7, 2008.
