14 Karat Country Music Show At the Clay Cooper Theatre, 2215 W Highway 76 (across from Ride The Ducks and Wal-Mart).As the name implies, 14 Karat Country brings the Golden Oldies of country music back to center stage. You will be swept down memory lane with the music of classic country stars like Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee, Jim Ed Brown, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Wynette, Jack Greene, Jerry Lee Lewis and many others. Over 25 artists and at least 60 songs are showcased. 14 Karat Country does not try to imitate the vocal sounds of the artists, but stays true to the original music that paved the way for today's Country Music. Most of the songs are in medley form, filling the show with two hours of overflowing memories. And you will learn things you never knew as the band reveals fascinating and rarely known facts about the history of country music and its legendary entertainers. 14 Karat Country Music Band Members: Kathy Eckert, vocals and rhythm guitar, singing the songs of the great ladies of country music; Doug Wright, bass and vocals, to the music of Johnny Horton and many others; Tom Eckert, on fiddle, guitar, vocals; Rob Wilson on drums and vocals featuring Freddy Fender and others; Carl McKinney on guitar and vocals; and Darrell Croy, "tickles the ivories" with the music of Floyd Cramer and a tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis.
