Branson Blues, Late Night At the Historic Owen's Theatre in Downtown Branson, 205 S Commercial Street. The Owen's Theatre is Branson's first theater, built in 1935 by former Branson Mayor Jim Owen. It is now (and has been for the past 14 years) the home of Elvis and the Superstars and 7 other shows. The theater's 200 seats have been replaced, but its rustic rock walls, "A-frame" cathedral ceiling and Fireplace Room Lobby are still there for a perfect blend of "old" and "new." Historic Downtown Branson comes alive after hours with the best in live blues. Branson's best musicians gather for a late-night Blues Jam every Friday. You never know who might pop in for a surprise performance. Listen to tributes to Blues greats like B.B. King, Janis Joplin, Koko Taylor, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and many more. The party is just starting at 10:30 pm. BYOB for this late-night Blues Jam. The show runs May 2nd through October 31st, 2008; Fridays at 10:30 pm. |
