Country Sunshine![]() Now at the Caravelle Theater, 3446 W Highway 76 (across from Mickey Gilley and next door to Jim Stafford) A new show in 2009, Country Sunshine is a variety classic country show starring Lallie Bridges. The first half of the show is Lallie, in costume, performing impersonations of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette. From her voice to her costumes, you'll think you're watching the original singer, not Lallie. Country Sunshine is named after Dottie West's 1973 #2 hit Country Sunshine. Lallie Bridges shares the story of "how the song came to be" in the second half of her show. Fun facts: the song Country Sunshine was used in Coca-Cola commercials in the mid- and late-1970's. Coke has donated Dottie's commercial to the Library of Congress. You can also see Lallie in action in the shows at The Historic Owen's Theater in Downtown Branson. Watch a video preview of Lallie here! Shows are at 2 pm, April 2 through December 5, 2009. |
