Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater (afternoon shows)

Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater (afternoon shows)Now at the Dick Clark American Bandstand Theater, 1600 W Highway 76.

The afternoon shows at the 900-seat Dick Clark American Bandstand Theater showcase a revolving line-up of original rock-n-roll stars.

Performers include The Comets (of Bill Haley & The Comets), David Somerville's Diamonds, Shirley Alston Reeves of the Shirelles, Johnny Preston, The Crickets, Barbara Lewis, Danny & The Juniors and Peggy March.

The Comets features the three surviving members of Bill Haley and the Comets. These legendary performers will knock your socks off when they perform such beloved hits as "Rock Around the Clock," "Shake Rattle n' Roll," and "See Ya Later Alligator" as well as exciting all-new material.

When David Somerville's Diamonds performs with Barbara Lewis you'll hear hits like "Little Darlin," "The Stroll," "Why Do Fools Fall in Love," "Sillouhettes," "Hello Stranger," "Make Me Your Baby" and "Baby I'm Yours." It's an afternoon filled with great hits from these two Legendary Stars!

Shirley Alston Reeves of the Shirelles reprises some of the group's hits like "I Met Him on A Sunday," "Sha La La," "Baby, It's You," "Boys," "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," "Mama Said," "Tonight's The Night," "This Is Dedicated To The One I Love," "Foolish Little Girl," and "Soldier Boy."

Johnny Preston, who formed the rock-n-roll band The Shades, and The Crickets perform afternoons together where you'll hear Preston's 1960's #1 hit single "Running Bear" and "Cradle of Love."

Danny & the Juniors, best known for their hit single "At The Hop," also perform afternoons at the American Bandstand Theater. It's the perfect fit because that song was not initially a hit, but it became one after it was played on Dick Clark's American Bandstand in 1955. Their follow-up song, "Rock n Roll Is Here To Stay," made it to the Top 20. Their final hit single was "Twistin' USA" in 1960.

Peggy March, who at the age of 15 became the youngest female singer to have a #1 hit, "I Will Follow Him," (This record, by the way, still stands) performs with Danny & The Juniors and with The Comets.

Combo tickets are available for lunch and/or dinner at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Grill and a visit to '57 Heaven.
The afternoon shows are at 2 pm, March 30 through December 16, 2007.
