Celebrating its 18th season of family entertainment in 2012, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede has firmly established itself as Branson's most fun place to eat!

New in 2012: Rumble in the Treetops – a 4-event relay between lumberjacks that includes:

• a race up a 60-foot log (the log descends from the ceiling!)


• log-rolling (to see which lumberjack can keep his balance longest before splashing into a shallow pool of water)


• wood-chopping (teams racing to sever a log with underhand chopping)


• cross-cut sawing (teams racing to cut through a giant log)

They're back! Experience Dixie Stampede's big feature, Return of the Buffalo. Six tons of real American bison thunder through the giant Dixie Stampede arena. Plus, back by popular demand, The Belles of the Ball will waltz into your heart.

The stars are 32 magnificent horses, beautiful southern belles, gallant gents, dancers, trick riders, and a world of surprises. The Gold Rush Jubilee, a hilarious musical-comedy celebration of the Gold Rush era, sure to tickle your funny bone and set your toes-a-tappin'!

The audience gets to participate in the show's friendly recreation of the North-South rivalry. Special treats include chicken races for the little ones and other contests, dancing water fountains, an old-fashioned Southern Plantation barbeque, and an especially colorful Grand Patriotic finale. All this and a four-course feast make for what most folks feel is a "don't miss" Branson treat.

The special Carriage Room pre-show, featuring the comedy of David Lucas, starts 50-minutes before the main arena Dixie Stampede Dinner Show. Be sure to arrive early for it and to stroll the beautiful horsewalk. You might like to enjoy some popcorn, peanuts and Pepsi in the Carriage Room before the show.

During the holidays, the Dixie Stampede is transformed into a beautiful holiday fantasy. Christmas At Dixie Stampede features a live Nativity, Wise Men on real camels and a fabulous new musical fantasy, The Magic of Toys. One Christmas night, the Sugar Plum Fairy appears in a sleepy toyshop and magically brings all the toys to life in a musical celebration. Highlighted by a stunning aerial display and set to the unforgettable music of The Nutcracker, The Magic of Toys will delight the kid in you and every member of your family. The Yuletide feast is brought to you by...elves, of course. It's North Pole vs. South Pole!
