Elvis Sings Country At the Historic Owen's Theatre in Downtown Branson, 205 S Commercial Street. The Owen's Theatre is Branson's first theater, built in 1935 by former Branson Mayor Jim Owen. It is now (and has been for the past 13 years) the home of Elvis and the Superstars and 6 other shows. The theater's 200 seats have been replaced, but its rustic rock walls, "A-frame" cathedral ceiling and Fireplace Room Lobby are still there for a perfect blend of "old" and "new." Take a break from "Jailhouse Rock" and "Hound Dog" to enjoy the country side of "The King." Dave "Elvis" Elhert, one of the world's top Elvis performers sings the great country songs that Elvis loved. You'll hear songs like "She Thinks I Still Care," "Welcome To My World," "For The Good Times" and many more. Dave's full, rich voice is often mistaken for the real Elvis. He's been performing as Elvis for over 40 years. Many ladies are serenaded right in their seats as Dave goes out into the audience and presents them with a silk "Elvis" scarf as a keepsake. This show also includes several of Elvis's Gospel songs. Perfect for any Elvis fan! The show runs February 12th through December 28th; Monday, Wednesday & Friday at noon. |
