Kirby VanBurch![]() Now appearing at Kirby VanBurch Theatre, 1835 W Highway 76 (formerly the Music City Centre Theatre across from Applebee's Restaurant) Kirby returns in 2013 at an all-new location on the famous Highway 76! Kirby VanBurch, a Vanishing Magical Unicorn, a Real Helicopter appearing daily, and Branson the White Tiger, all combine for one amazingly popular magic show. There will be new illusions in 2013, too. Kirby VanBurch, the Prince of Magic and International Award-Winning Magician, has amazed millions and celebrates another magical season as Branson's Master Magician with an exciting new show. The Kirby VanBurch Show promises never-before-seen illusions. Kirbam the White Tiger, lions and other exotic animals perform amazing feats to make this show great family entertainment. Bambi VanBurch also stars in the show with her own exciting illusions. It's a 2-hour roller-coaster of excitement and mystery. See Kirby as he makes a helicopter appear before your very eyes at the world's largest magic show. You can stay after the show and take the Magical Mystery Tour backstage with Kirby's Big Cats! First, you can check out the stage & props...but no touching, please. Then you get to peek into the dressing & wardrobe rooms of the dancers and Kirby. After seeing the show, you know they keep the wardrobe person busy! You finish up with a stroll to look at the animals in their resting pens. Each big cat has a plaque for you to read telling its name, birthday and a little more about the animal. If you're lucky, maybe one of them will come up to the window and give you a high-five through the glass! (put the cameras away, pictures are not allowed on the tour) The world's largest magic association, The International Magicians Society, awarded Kirby and former wife Bambi top honors in 2007 with the coveted Merlin Awards. Bambi received the Female Magician of the Year 2007 and Kirby received the Entertainer of the Year 2007. The Merlin Awards, in the world of magic, are the equivalent to the Oscar for film, the Emmy for tv and the Tony for theater. The criteria considered for a winner include talent, showmanship, originality, skills and the ability to entertain under any conditions. Kirby and Bambi received their awards on March 24, 2007 at their own Branson theater, the Kirby VanBurch Theatre. Previous winners of these prestigious awards include Penn and Teller, David Copperfield, Siegfried & Roy, Doug Henning and Harry Blackstone. Kirby himself received the Magician of the Year award in 2001. Bambi also received the Female Magician of the Year 2008 award. In another spectacular awards show, The World Magic Awards, Kirby and Bambi won 2008 Best Illusionist honors. It was an exciting evening of magic and celebration hosted by magic enthusiast Neil Patrick Harris. In 2010, The Travel Channel put the Kirby VanBurch Magic Show on its list of America's Best Magic Shows. Read the whole article here. Fun fact: Kirby's new theater in 2013, the former Music City Centre, is the same theater location that Bambi performed her own show for 3 months in 2009. Shows are at 3:00 pm or 8:00 pm daily, except Mondays; April 23 through December 31, 2013.
