The world's largest magic association, The International Magicians Society, awarded Kirby and Bambi top honors in 2007 with the coveted Merlin Awards. Bambi received the Female Magician of the Year 2007 and Kirby received the Entertainer of the Year 2007. Previous winners of these prestigious awards include Penn and Teller, David Copperfield, Siegfried & Roy, Doug Henning and Harry Blackstone. Kirby himself received the Magician of the Year award in 2001. The Merlin Awards, in the world of magic, are the equivalent to the Oscar for film, the Emmy for tv and the Tony for theater. The criteria considered for a winner include talent, showmanship, originality, skills and the ability to entertain under any conditions. Kirby and Bambi received their awards on March 24, 2007 at their own Branson theater, the Kirby VanBurch Theatre, 2353 Highway 248.
Shows are at 2 & 8 daily, except Wednesdays, February 16 through December 31, 2008.
