Ladies of Motown in Downtown Branson At the Historic Owen's Theatre in Downtown Branson, 205 S Commercial Street. The Owen's Theatre is Branson's first theater, built in 1935 by former Branson Mayor Jim Owen. It is now (and has been for the past 13 years) the home of Elvis and the Superstars and 6 other shows. The theater's 200 seats have been replaced, but its rustic rock walls, "A-frame" cathedral ceiling and Fireplace Room Lobby are still there for a perfect blend of "old" and "new." "Mama Told You There'd Be Day's Like This" but she never told you there'd be shows like this. LIVE onstage it's a magical tribute to The Supremes, Gladys Knight, the Ronettes, the Shirelles, the Marvelettes, Martha and the Vandellas and more. You'll hear the best of Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn, Patti LaBelle and other stars of the "Girl Group" era. The Ladies of Motown Show stars Dee Dee Hamilton, formerly with the World Famous Platters for 23 years, and 2-time winner of Branson's Female Vocalist of the Year. The show runs March 6th through October 30th; Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at noon. |
