Mel Tillis & Family Christmas Show 2009
This show is no longer active

At the Tri Lakes Center, 2527 State Highway 248. (The Tri Lakes Center was the Mel Tillis Theater from 1994-2002)

This show was a hit in 2007 & 2008, so it's back again in 2009!

November 3-28, 2009 Mel Tillis, Pam Tillis, Mel Tillis, Jr,. and Carrie April Tillis are back together again for one awesome country music show, from traditional to contemporary, with all your favorite Christmas songs thrown in, too.

Country music singer and songwriter Mel Tillis (born Lonnie Melvin Tillis), has had nearly 6 dozen country hits from 1958 to 1998, including his biggest hit from 1972 "I Ain't Never." He's also written hits for other stars like Bobby Bare's 1963 chart-topper "Detroit City" and Kenny Rogers' "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town." In 1976, Mel Tillis won the prestigious and coveted Entertainer Of The Year award from The Country Music Association.

Mel has recorded more than 60 albums. He has had 36 Top Ten singles, with 9 of them going to #1 - "Good Woman Blues," "Coca Cola Cowboy," and "Southern Rain" are 3 of them. "Brooklyn Bridge" and "How Bad Do You Wanna Be Good" are also some of his most popular songs.

This Christmas show features Mel with his daughter, successful country music artist Pam Tillis.

Pam made her own way in country music. Performing since age of 8, on The Grand Ole Opry, Pam became a contemporary country music star in the 1990's. Her lead single "Don't Tell Me What To Do" made it to the Top Five in 1991, giving her the breakthrough she needed. From the same album, "One of Those Things" and "Maybe It Was Memphis" also made the Top Ten (so did the album). Her 1992 successful follow-up album, Homeward Looking Angel, included two singles making the Top Five: "Shake the Sugar Tree" and "Let That Pony Run." Her first ever #1 hit was "Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)" in 1995 from the Sweetheart's Dance album. This was the album that earned her the Country Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year award in 1994. From the same album, "Spilled Perfume," "When You Walk In The Room" and "In Between Dances" all went Top Five.

The Mel Tillis & Family Christmas Show is a true family affair, with two more of Mel's kids joining him for the show: opera singer Carrie April and singer/songwriter Mel, Jr. Get tickets early for best seating!
