Merle Haggard with special guest Gene Watson
This show is no longer active

At the Tri Lakes Center, 2527 State Highway 248. (The Tri Lakes Center was the Mel Tillis Theater from 1994-2002)

One Branson show only for country music legend Merle Haggard with very special guest Gene Watson: Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 7:30 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm).

This will be an incredible night of music in a venue small enough to get a good up-close view of Merle and Gene, but big enough to support major stars like them as well. The Tri Lakes Center seats 2500...there's not a bad seat in the house.

Merle has had 38 #1 hits during his career, starting with "I'm A Lonesome Fugitive" in 1966 to "Twinkle, Twinkle, Lucky Star" in 1987.

His awards are too numerous to list, but from 1965 to the present he's received such honors as Country Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, in 1977 he was elected to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, in 1994 he was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame and in 2006 he received the Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gene Watson is famous for his hits "Love In The Hot Afternoon," "Fourteen Carat Mind," "Where Love Begins," "Paper Rosie," "Should I Go Home (or Should I Go Crazy)," "Nothing Sure Looked Good On You" and his signature hit from 1979 called "Farewell Party."

His latest album, "In A Perfect World," was released in 2007 and is considered to be one of the Top 10 Country Albums of the Year for 2007. (CMT critics Craig Shelburne and Ed Morris list Gene's album "In A Perfect World" in their BEST OF 2007 TOP TEN LIST)

Gene Watson performed in Branson at the God & Country Theatre in November of 2008 - and the event was a SELL-OUT!

Call today for tickets! On sale date: Wednesday, February 25, 2009.

Don't miss this opportunity to see TWO country music legends at a great price in a small venue.

Bring your cameras - pictures are allowed at the concert (no audio, video or cell phone use, though). And, stick around for autographs after the show with Gene Watson.
