December 2009 update: The Penny Gilley Show with Jeff Brandt moves to The Mansion Theatre for 2010. Penny and Jeff start their season on April 16, 2010 at 3 pm.
Now in its 3rd Branson season in 2009, The Penny Gilley Show with Jeff Brandt has an all-new location and opens October 31, 2009 with a new 90-minute show at the Branson Star Theatre. Known as the Sweetheart of Country Music, Penny is a true country classic singer. So get ready for a lot of Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and Barbara Mandrell. Her true love for our veterans and military men and women is apparent with every performance. Her hit "The Line Drawn In The Sand" was performed for the homecoming celebration of Desert Storm. Penny likes to make the audience of every show feel like her second family. She is renowned for staying late to meet fans, sign autographs or just sit and talk. She will often be the last one to leave the theater. The Penny Gilley Show also features impersonator Jeff Brandt. Brandt, who was the opening act for Wayne Newton for 13 years, has a deep bag of tricks to bring to the party with his dead-on impersonations of hundreds of favorite singers like Elvis, Conway Twitty, Tom Jones and Willie Nelson. The 2009 Penny Gilley Show is scheduled to perform from October 31 through December 13, 2009. Penny does a weekly television show on RFD-TV (DishNetwork channel 231, DirectTV channel 379, 200+ cable networks). While in Branson, you can visit her new Penny Gilley Louisiana Fixin's Restaurant, featuring Po Boys, Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice, Burgers, Desserts and more. It's located on Highway 76 (The Strip) across from Wal-Mart. To answer the "million-dollar-question," Penny Gilley is distantly related to the other famous Gilley in Branson, Mickey Gilley. Penny is a second cousin to Mickey, by former marriage!
