Wanda Kay Show - A Tribute To The Nashville SongwriterThis show is no longer active At the newly remodeled Superstars Live Theatre, 3600 W Highway 76 (formerly the Cristy Lane Theater, the Legends In Concert Theatre, the Osmonds Theatre & Bart Rockett Theatre) This show is pure Classic Country! New in 2010! Wanda Kay, whose vocal styling has been likened to Anne Murray and Karen Carpenter, stars in this tribute to Nashville songwriters. She delivers a wide array of Classic Country and Swing music. The songs featured in her show were written by her husband Billy Arr, who is a professional Nashville songwriter. His songs have been recorded by some of the biggest names in country music including Mel Tillis ("Lookin' For Tomorrow and Finding Yesterday"), Faron Young ("Left To Right or Right To Wrong"), Loretta Lynn ("Love's On The Loose"), Wilburn Brothers ("The Minds Of Lonely Men"), The Kendalls ("You're My Man"), Mickey Gilley ("What Is It"), Freddie Hart, Gene Watson, Dave Dudley, Billie Jo Spears & Roy Rogers. Wanda Kay also performs some of Billy's "uncut" songs. She calls them "the best songs you've never heard!" The Wanda Kay show is backed by the Superstars All-Star Band and the Superstars Live Singers. The theater has been remodeled, repainted & repaired and is looking good and sounding great (brand new sound system, too!). Shows are at 10:00 am, Tues-Sat; July 15 through December 18, 2010.
