The driveway entrance at the Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area, located on Fall Creek Road, will be closed to traffic starting at 7:00 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 through 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013.

The driveway will be closed so that the existing gravel driveway can be removed and a new concrete apron installed at the entrance to the park.

The park and trails will remain open, but guests are asked to use alternate parking during this construction. You are welcome to use the parking lot of Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theatre (please park in the corner nearest the corner of Fall Creek Road and Highway 76, and cross safely at the crosswalk)

The new driveway entrance is part of the improvements underway at the 140-acre City Park. You will also see a new 6,000 square-foot parking lot, entrance gate, and signage.

Tony Orlando's 20th season in Branson (there won't be a 21st)

This year, 2013, is Tony Orlando's 20th Branson season. He's performing a 20-show limited engagement in November at the Welk Resort Theatre, Tony Orlando's Great American Christmas. It's his final season to perform here.

The Welk Resort Theatre seats 2300, so we figure that 46,000 Tony fans can see him in Branson one last time. The rest will have to catch him on the road in th US and Canada in Performing Arts Centers and Casinos.
