Question from BransonWorld reader:

Have looked everywhere, What in the world has happened to Paul Harris. Cannot find him! Is he no longer in Branson? If he is where?
margaret
Hi Margaret
Thank you for using our site. You're not the first to ask. I spoke with the theatre people about two weeks ago, who told me he is in Nashville, working night clubs. His wife is studying for her doctorate and wanted to go to school there, and he thought he'd give it a try. He's also one of my very favorites, too. Thanks for asking.

Silver Dollar City beginnings…

In 1950, Hugo, the step-father of Jack and Peter Herschend, acquired a long-term lease on Marvel Cave near Branson. Later, the Herschend brothers opened Silver Dollar City, a re-creation of an 1880’s Ozark mining town, as a place to entertain visitors to Marvel Cave while they waited to take the cave tour. However, in its first year, Silver Dollar City drew four times as many visitors as the cave! The rest is history.
