White House Christmas Trees

Here's another thing to add to your holiday to-do list while you're in Branson this month and next: visit the American Presidential Museum for Christmas At The White House and see nearly 2 dozen Christmas trees decorated like the themed trees of former First Ladies* at the White House. It's a museum-wide exhibit, and one of the largest Presidential holiday displays in the United States. You'll also see White House holiday gift prints, holiday tour books and White House Holiday trivia. Your visit does include the regular season features like visiting the Oval Office, seeing hundreds of presidential artifacts and learning about American history from 1620 to today. It's a great way to see decades of White House Christmases in one place.

Here's our Christmas In Branson 2008 feature for more fun holiday activities. Check it out!

*Interesting fact: Jacqueline Kennedy began the tradition of themed trees at the White House in 1961 when she decorated the tree with toy trimmings from the Nutcracker Suite ballet. Here's more on the official White House Christmas Trees...pictures, too!
