If your idea of a “Shopper’s Paradise” includes a sale that never ends, brand-name merchandise and savings of 25-65% off retail prices, then Branson’s three outlet malls are the place for you.
Factory Merchants Branson (417-335-6686), with its famous red roof and red towers, is open all year and has over 90 famous brand-name outlets. Here are some: Carter’s Childrenswear, Etienne Aigner, L’eggs/Hanes/Bali, Full Size Fashions, Toys Unlimited, Hush Puppies, Book Warehouse, Boot Factory, Lenox, Casual Corner, Eddie Bauer, Black & Decker, Jockey and Nautica. The Factory Merchants’ fifteen two-story buildings are next to White Water on the Strip.
Tanger Factory Outlet Center (417-337-9327, 800-4-TANGER) is home to stores like Ann Taylor Loft, Big Dog Sportwear, Coach, Disney, Gap, J. Crew, Liz Claiborne, Nine West, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and more. Tanger is located on highway 76 across from the Andy Williams Theatre. It’s a one-story center and is open all year.
The opening of the Factory Shoppes at Branson Meadows (417-339-2580, 800-SHOP-USA) in September 1995 boosted Branson to No. 3 on the list of major outlet shopping destinations in the country. Shop over 40 outlets including the offerings of Spiegel, JT Webb, BonWorth, VF Factory Outlet, Big & Tall, Paper Factory, Bugle Boy, Bostonian Shoe, Farberware, Westpoint Stevens, Duck Head, Santa Surplus, Sunbeam, Easy Spirit, RUE 21, Totes, T-Shirts Plus, Foozles Book Outlet and more. Get there taking highway 65 to highway 248 or highway 76 to Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.
