The arrival of 2009 brings many exciting changes to Branson and some of Branson's shows. Here's the list of things that are gone, moving or changing in some way.

- New in 2009: Silver Dollar City features new shows and activities during each of its festivals, World-Fest, Bluegrass & BBQ, National Kids' Fest, Southern Gospel Picnic, National Harvest Festival and the Old Time Christmas Festival
- New in 2009: Up Close Concerts, who brought T. Graham Brown, Janie Fricke, Gene Watson, StarFest and Merle Haggard to the God & Country Theatre and the Tri-Lakes Center in 2008, is bringing more major concerts to Branson in 2009! Announcements coming soon.
- New in 2009: The Branson Airport opens Monday, May 11, 2009.
- Moving in 2009: The Haygoods, Tony Roi's Elvis Experience & Red, Hot...& Blue! move from the Music City Centre Theater to the newly remodeled Americana Theatre. Also, Cassandre, The Voice Of An Angel moves from Silver Dollar City to the new Americana Theatre.
- New in 2009: Castle Rock Resort and Indoor Water Park is scheduled to open in February. Located at 3005 Green Mountain Drive (formerly the Atrium Inn). The Indoor Water Park is for registered hotel guests.
- New in 2009: Mary Duff, Irish country singer and guest artist of Daniel O'Donnell, performs a limited engagement at the Tri Lakes Center May 11-23.
- New in 2009: The Baldknobbers Show turns 50! It will be a year-long celebration with many special events planned. Check the BransonWorld.com Events section for announcements.
- Moving in 2009: The Rankin Brothers move from the Welk Resort Theatre to the Starlite Theatre
- Gone in 2009: The Entertainers are not returning to the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre
- Moving in 2009: The Branson Divas move from the Imaginary Theatre to the Little Opry Theatre inside the Branson IMAX Entertainment Complex.
- Moving in 2009: The Chicken House Opry moves from the Gene Williams Theater to the Branson Star Theatre
- New in 2009: Timeless Treasures with Ralph Kuster at the God & Country Theatre
- New in 2009: The 3rd Annual Plummer Family Reunion Show at the Hamner-Barber Theatre
- Moving in 2009: The Magnificent Variety Show moves from the White House Theatre to the new Osmond Theatre.
- New in 2009: Country Sunshine starring Lallie Bridges at the Caravelle Theater.
- Moving in 2009: Moe Bandy moves from the Starlite Theatre to the Jim Stafford Theatre
- Gone in 2009: The Dixieland Breakfast Show featuring Tracy Heaston is not returning to the White House Theatre. Stay tuned...it might be somewhere else. We'll let you know!
- Gone in 2009: Jon England, The Velvet Piano Player is not returning to the CaravelleTheater. Again, stay tuned...it might be somewhere else...and we'll let you know!
- Gone in 2009: Celebrate America and The Promise are not returning to The Mansion Entertainment & Media Center (Peter Pan is coming in May, though!)
- New in 2009: Bart Rockett is back in Branson in 2009 and moves his show to the 50's At The Hop Theatre
- Moving in 2009: The Grand Old Gospel Hour moves to the Dick Clark American Bandstand Theater (previously at the Legends Family Theatre)
- New in 2009: Special guests at The Mansion Entertainment & Media Center include Engelbert Humperdinck and Johnny Mathis
- New in 2009: One concert...two country superstars - Merle Haggard & Gene Watson together at the Tri Lakes Center
- New in 2009: One concert...lots of country superstars...fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network, the Stars and Guitars Show featuring Richie McDonald at the Tri Lakes Center
- Moving in 2009: Dino's Christmas Extravaganza moves to the Yakov Smirnoff What A Country! Theatre (previously at the Tri Lakes Center)
- New in 2009: The Country Tonite Show at the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre presents two shows for one price. The first half of the show is Country Tonite and the second half of the show is a special guest, including Collin Raye, Restless Heart, T.G. Sheppard or Debby Boone. On select dates only throughout the season.
- New in 2009: a FREE continental breakfast is included with your ticket purchase to the Dalena Ditto Show at the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre
- New in 2009: The Hamner Barber Variety Show has added a new magical, powerful and emotional multi-media Veteran's Tribute to this season's show
- New in 2009: The Tri Lakes Center (the former Mel Tillis Theatre) features new concerts: Daniel O'Donnell, Mark Lowry, Mary Duff, Mel Tillis & Family Christmas Show, Ray Price, Roy Clark with Justin David and A Song For The World by Up With People
- Moving in 2009: Smoke On The Mountain moves to the Glass Chapel Theatre (previously at the Little Opry Theatre in the Ozarks Discovery IMAX Complex)
- New in 2009: Kenny G In Concert, one evening only, at The Mansion Entertainment & Media Center
- New in 2009: The Mrs. Missouri America Pageant is at The Mansion Entertainment & Media Center; March 28, 2009

- Moving in 2009: The Brett Family Show moves to the Dick Clark American Bandstand Theater (previously at the Legends Family Theatre)
- Moving in 2009: The Penny Gilley Show will be moving to another venue this season (previously at the RFD-TV Theatre). The schedule will most likely begin in the Fall. Stay tuned to BransonWorld.com for the announcement coming soon. Meanwhile, you can visit Penny at her new restaurant, Penny Gilley's Louisiana Fixin's, located on Highway 76 across from Wal-Mart.

- Changing in 2009: The Dutton Deli at the Dutton Family Theater Complex changes to a Luigi's Pizza Kitchen, Luigi's will be the caterers for the FREE Polynesian box meal included with each full-price adult ticket at the Island Fire Show.
- Moving in 2009: The Barbara Fairchild Sunday Worship Service moves to the Starlite Theatre (previously at the Welk Resort Theatre)
- New in 2009: Lee Greenwood & The Bellamy Brothers share the stage at the Welk Resort Theatre in September and October
- Gone in 2009: The Lowe Family is not returning to the Welk Resort Theatre for the 2009 season. They are recording and doing tour dates across the country.
- Gone in 2009: There are no plans for a Welk Stars Reunion this season at the Welk Resort Theatre
- New in 2009: 4Ever Motown is at the Caravelle Theater
- Gone in 2009: Justin Flom's Magic Parlor is not performing in Branson in 2009 - he's on tour (the last we heard he was in Alaska). We'll let you know if he'll be back in 2010.
- New in 2009: Seven new shows at RFD-TV The Theatre - Brule' and The American Indian Rock Opera, Disney's High School Musical - Summer Celebration!, The Cowsills, Pam Tillis and John Anderson, The Marty Stuart Show, Conway Twitty, It's Only Make Believe and Country's Family Reunion.
- New in 2009: Two new shows at Yakov's What A Country! Theatre: Neal McCoy and Yakov's Moscow Circus.
- Gone in 2009: Due to circumstances beyond their control, Smoke On The Mountain at The Glass Chapel Theater will not be performinig in Branson until further notice. It can be booked for special events. Call 417-337-7771.
- Gone in 2009: The Branson Brothers at the God & Country Theatre, the Branson Divas at the Little Opry Theatre, Bart Rockett at the 50's At The Hop Theatre & the Chicken House Opry at the Branson Star Theater.
- New in 2009: Special guest Chubby Checker at the Mickey Gilley Theatre; October 19-26, 2009.
- Changing in 2009: the 50's At The Hop Show is now performing at the RFD-TV Theatre (previously at the 50's At The Hop Theatre in Branson Meadows)
